About Us
At Miss Mae's Pre-K, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing, stimulating and welcoming environment for all children in a comfortable Child-Focused Classroom. Our unique program incorporates a variety of educational theories, while always keeping the child’s best interest in mind and allowing for hands-on, experiential learning. We practice Conscious Discipline within our school as a tool to develop social and emotional well-being within our students. We are a play-focused Preschool/Kindergarten and understand that worksheets are not a developmentally appropriate way to activate a child's true learning and sense of purpose. Our carefully created lessons involve daily Invitations-to-Play, allowing us to incorporate fun alongside Mississippi's Early Learning Standards. Our children leave our school better equipped to handle the emotional pressures of traditional primary schooling, and rank above average in Kindergarten Entrance Testing.
